1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help a site work, remember your preferences and understand how it is used. Cookies may be set by the site you visit (first-party) or by an external service (third-party).

2. Our Approach

Our public marketing website and Help Center do not run optional analytics or tracking technologies. We do not set analytics cookies, create a public analytics identifier, or run session replay on those public surfaces. The authenticated application uses essential cookies needed for security, sign-in and operation, together with preference storage that remembers settings you choose. Authenticated product surfaces may also process limited operational, security and error events to protect the Service and diagnose faults. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. Public Marketing Website and Help Center

These public surfaces do not set analytics cookies, create a public analytics identifier, run session replay or store a public preference cookie. Language selection is represented by the page URL, and no cookie-notice choice is stored because optional public tracking is disabled.

The Help Center offers a light and a dark reading theme. If you choose one, that choice is kept in your browser's local storage under the key composerie:help-theme and holds a single word: system, light or dark. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us or to anyone else, it contains no personal data, and it is written only when you press the theme control. Clearing your site data removes it and the Help Center goes back to following your device setting.

4. Cookies and Storage in the Application

The dashboard (app.composerie.com), the feedback site and our internal admin console each set their own first-party sign-in cookies. On secure hosts the names carry the browser's __Secure- prefix.

Your language preference is saved in your account profile, not in a cookie. The dashboard keeps a few other interface preferences (for example whether the sidebar is collapsed and which list view you last used) in your browser's local storage; these never leave your device and contain no personal data. The customizer on your storefront, the Shopify admin extension and the Composerie Web Pixel are cookie-less: they authenticate with short-lived signed tokens instead.

Our edge network (Cloudflare) may set a strictly necessary security cookie such as __cf_bm only while a request is being checked for automated abuse. It contains no personal data and expires within 30 minutes.

5. Third-Party Cookies

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Some essential service providers — for example our payment processor when you interact with a payment form — may set their own strictly necessary cookies, governed by their respective policies.

6. Your Choices & Consent

Strictly necessary application cookies may be set without consent where applicable law permits. Preference cookies and local storage hold only the setting itself (such as the theme name), never personal data, and are written when the application loads or when you change the preference. If we introduce optional analytics, session replay, advertising or similar non-essential tracking in the future, we will update this policy and obtain consent before activating it where required.

7. Managing Cookies

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:

• View which cookies are stored on your device
• Delete individual cookies or all cookies
• Block cookies from specific or all websites

Blocking essential cookies may prevent the application from working correctly. The public marketing website and Help Center will continue to work without optional analytics or tracking.
